By Ray Cunningham

Belleville, KS:
The 7th annual Belleville 305 Nationals takes center stage at the Belleville High Banks this weekend bringing thrills, spills, and chills, once again!

50 plus snarling, fire-breathing, sprint cars, will take to the worlds fastest high banked dirt track this Friday August 2nd and Saturday August 3rd for the biggest event of the season in winged 305 action!

The United Rebel Sprint Series will be the sanctioning body for the seventh straight season as well. While the cold hard cash available for the 305 nationals will include a top prize of $2,500 for Friday, and $7,000 for Saturday night. With anyone making the 30 lap grand finale for Saturday taking home a minimum of $1,000 dollars. And anyone competing will receive at least $250 Friday night, and $550 for Saturday, for a total of $800 smackers just to take the green flag in a race both nights.

Besides greenbacks flowing out of the Republic County Fairgrounds piggy bank, the 305 Nationals will also present a stellar field of competitors once again.

Defending champion Jeremy Campbell from Wichita, Kansas, took his first ever win at Belleville driving the Peters Black 51 in 2023. And will look to be the first repeat winner of the nationals since Jake Bubak pulled off the double in 2018 and 2019 driving the Coyote Candle 74b. While 2022 victor Ty Williams of Arcadia, Oklahoma looks to return to the top spot on the podium in his familiar 911 winged sprinter.

With Racers from 12 different states competing in 2024. Including drivers from South Dakota, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Indiana, Minnesota, Colorado, Texas, Iowa, Tennessee, Kansas, and Oklahoma. As well as the Netherlands.

Others to watch besides previous winners Campbell and Williams, include contenders who will be on hand to try and win the Nationals for the first time. In that group are Lincoln, Nebraska racer Stu Snyder who has finished on the podium twice in the last four years at Belleville. While Snyder was also victorious at the High Banks for the first time ever when he won on July 3rd racing in the Malvern Bank 360 series.

One of the hottest competitors entering the nationals is Jetmore, Kansas racer Jeremy Huish. The Sunflower state driver leads the National IMCA 305 series points, as well as URSS points with 8 victories overall, including 6 with the United Rebel Series driving the Cranston Racing number 20. While teammate Kaylee Bryson of Muskogee, Oklahoma returns to Belleville after winning at the High Banks on May 18th. On that occasion history was made when Bryson parked her USAC Silver Crown car in victory lane becoming the first women ever to win a National event in USAC.

Of course coming to Belleville is also a good time to enjoy the North Central Kansas Fair, including the rides, and the amazing food. While a stop at the High Banks Hall of Fame and Museum is a must for any race fan coming to Belleville.

Come to the heart of America this weekend in Belleville, Kansas, to enjoy the racing, the fair, the hall of fame, and more. You will be glad you did.
